TRANSPORT
Edinburgh is linked to all major cities and airports in Britain. The high speed rail link to London takes just over four hours. Edinburgh’s Waverley Station is about 10 minutes away by taxi and Haymarket Station is about 5 minutes away by foot. Edinburgh Airport is served by more than 40 airlines, including direct routes to New York, Toronto, Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Zurich, Geneva, Paris, Madrid, Munich and Stockholm. Those who are not on a direct route can change at London Heathrow from where there are flights about every 30 minutes to Edinburgh during peak times. Edinburgh Airport is 12 kilometres from the centre of Edinburgh and is easily accessible by bus and taxi.

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
With the aim of encouraging accompanying persons to attend the conference and enjoying what Edinburgh and the surroundingcountryside has to offer we have offered two special packages. The first includes the Welcome Reception and Castle Receptionon the Wednesday and Thursday evenings and also refreshments and lunch at the Conference Centre during the days of the conference. The second allows those who want morefreedom during the day and would rather just attend the two evening receptions. The Congress Dinner may also be purchased as a separate item.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Attendance at the Congress Scientific Sessions will qualify for CPD. The total number of hours for attendance at the whole programme is 17 hours. Delegates will be able to download attendance certificates from the web-site after the Congress. Hours will be adjusted according to lectures attended.

CURRENCY AND LANGUAGE
The currency in Edinburgh is the Pound Sterling. English is the pre-dominant language and is spoken by all.
The congress language is English.
