 On behalf of myself, Congress President, and the Presidents of The British Endodontic Society, I am delighted to update you on plans so far for the 14th Biennial Congress of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) to be held in Edinburgh, the historical capital city of Scotland, 24th – 26th September 2009. The ESE has witnessed exponential growth in the past number of years. It is now the umbrella society for 26 national societies with a combined membership of over 5000 and we would like the 2009 Congress to reflect this.
We are very excited about this meeting and hope to attract endodontists, GDP’s, academics, hospital based dentists, dental nurses and students from both Europe and worldwide who are interested in this field. We have planned a scientific programme that will both give you an update on state of the art technology but will also allow you to see how various techniques can be incorporated into your everyday practice. There will also be an extensive Trade Exhibition and Pre-Congress Workshops to choose from.
Edinburgh is a vibrant city, packed with history and plenty to offer both culturally and entertainment wise. The surrounding area is also of course famous for its’ scenery, golf courses and whisky tours!
The Conference will take place over three days, Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th September, with two parallel sessions of invited speakers, a session for submitted oral presentations and a poster display. There will be a Welcome Reception on the Wednesday evening, a Reception at Edinburgh Castle on the Thursday evening and a Congress Dinner on the Friday evening.
We anticipate that over 1000 delegates will attend the conference as has happened in previous years.
The Congress will take place in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), the venue for all the scientific sessions, refreshment breaks, trade exhibition and lunch.
